Scotland's Golf Courses
Scotland is home to some of the world's best golf courses.
Many are internationally recognised, with five Scottish golf courses being current venues
for the British Open Championship.
Moss Golf Tours has selected courses from across Scotland for our golfing tours.
They provide a range of golfing experiences, from traditional links to stunning
parkland settings and require more than just the ability to hit a ball a long way.
To find out more about the golf courses and our suggested tours in each region,
select from the list below, or use the map on the right to highlight the area of
interest to you.
The golf courses may also be viewed as an
A-Z listing.
Across the scenic heart of Scotland in Perthshire are some wonderful inland golf
courses from the
Gleneagles King's course
to the lesser known
Pitlochry
and
Dunkeld and Birnam.
Further east on the coast past Dundee is the challenge of the
Carnoustie Championship course,
venue of the 2007 British Open Championship.
The golfing region of East Lothian is known as the Cradle of Golf and is just a
short drive from Edinburgh and
Edinburgh airport.
Here you will find excellent links golf at courses such as
Gullane,
North Berwick West Links
and
Dunbar, as well as the Open Championship venue of Muirfield.
The area of Fife on the east coast of Scotland includes St Andrews, the very home
of golf in Scotland. Choose from traditional links golf at
Crail and
Elie
as well as
the Old course at St Andrews,
or from new championship courses such
as Kingbarns Links.
Enjoy scenic inland and coastal golf in some of the most picturesque settings in
Scotland playing at
Royal Dornoch,
Tain
or
Boat of Garten golf courses.
The west coast is home to the famous golf courses of
Prestwick,
Turnberry and
Troon
and is where the British Open Championship began. Alongside the championship courses
are excellent links courses such as
Kilmarnock Barassie and
Glasgow Gailes,
or the long parkland course of
Belleisle in Ayr.
Budget flights to
Glasgow Prestwick
airport make this a very accessible area for golf tours from all across Europe.
